These terms govern your use of this website and your dealings with Omar Aftab Memorial Trust through it. By using the website, applying for a scholarship, or making a donation, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

1. Who we are

Omar Aftab Memorial Trust is a non-governmental, non-political and non-religious charitable trust established in 1996 and based in Lahore, Pakistan. Our registered address is 110-سیکٹر U، سٹریٹ نمبر 3، فیز II، ڈی ایچ اے، لاہور. The Trust is governed by its Board of Trustees.

2. Use of the website

Use this website only for lawful purposes. Do not use it in a way that infringes anyone's rights, restricts anyone else's use of it, or interferes with its normal operation. Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive or deliberately false.

3. Donations

Donations to the Trust are voluntary and, once received, are non-refundable. The one exception is a genuine error, such as a duplicated transfer or an amount sent by mistake. Write to us at oamt96@gmail.com within 30 days of the transfer and we will review it and, where the error is clear, return the funds.

A pledge made through this website is a statement of intent, not a payment. No money is taken by this website. Funds reach the Trust only when you complete a bank transfer, deposit or cheque yourself.

Donations are applied to the Trust's charitable objectives. Where you choose a specific programme, we apply your donation to that programme. If a programme is fully funded or cannot proceed, the Trustees may apply the funds to a closely related purpose, and will tell you if you ask.

4. Zakat

Zakat donations are recorded separately from other funds and are disbursed only to recipients eligible to receive Zakat under Islamic principles. Zakat funds are never used for administration, salaries, rent or publicity. The Trust's administrative and operating costs are borne personally by the Trustees.

5. Scholarship applications

• Submitting an application does not create any entitlement to an award. All awards are made at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees, and the Trustees' decision is final.

• You must provide accurate and complete information. Information that is false or misleading will void an application, and may end an award already made and require repayment of funds disbursed.
• You confirm that you are entitled to submit the documents you upload, and that they are genuine.
• وظیفہ منظور ہونے کی صورت میں ٹرسٹ رقم ادا کرتا ہے براہِ راست تعلیمی ادارے کو۔ ٹرسٹ طلبہ یا ان کے اہلِ خانہ کو نقد رقم نہیں دیتا۔ وظیفے کی رقم ادارے کے جاری کردہ فیس اسٹرکچر کی بنیاد پر طے ہوتی ہے اور اس میں ٹیوشن اور دستاویزی تعلیمی اخراجات شامل ہوتے ہیں۔
• Awards may be reviewed, reduced or withdrawn if a student's circumstances change materially, if academic conditions attached to the award are not met, or if the information supplied proves untrue.

6. Photographs, names and stories

The Trust may wish to share a student's name, photograph or story to show donors the result of their support. We do this only with that person's permission, and permission can be withdrawn at any time by writing to us. Material already printed cannot be recalled, but we will stop using it from the date you tell us.

7. Tax

It is not tax advice to you. Whether a particular donation is deductible or creditable in your hands depends on your circumstances and, if you are outside Pakistan, on the law where you live. Please confirm your position with your own adviser.

8. Accuracy of this website

We take care to keep this website accurate and current, but we provide it for general information. We do not warrant that it is complete, error-free or continuously available. Figures describing the Trust's work are stated to the best of our knowledge at the date shown.

9. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs and code, belongs to the Trust or to those who supplied it, and is protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for personal or non-commercial purposes with attribution. Any other reproduction or adaptation requires our written permission.

10. Third-party links and services

This website links to other websites and uses third-party services to run its forms and understand how the site is used. We do not control those websites or services and are not responsible for their content or their practices. The services we use are named in our پرائیویسی پالیسی.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Trust is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Language

This website is published in English and Urdu. The Urdu pages are provided so that readers can use the site in the language they are most comfortable with. If the two versions ever differ in meaning, the English version governs.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page at the time you use the website is the one that applies.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts at Lahore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
